As specialists in dance medicine and rehabilitation, the Program for Performing Arts is proud to be the primary medical
providers for BalletMet and the OSU Department of Dance. Our team consists of sports medicine primary care physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, chiropractors, physical therapists and athletic trainers experienced in dealing with the special needs of the performing artist.
The Performing Arts Medicine staff is trained in many treatment techniques including manual therapy, dance specific exercise programs, and Pilates based rehabilitation. We work with you to help restore proper joint mechanics and muscle function, improve movement and coordination awareness, and develop efficient technique. Nutrition counseling and sport psychology services are also available.
