Ohio State Sports Medicine is proud to be a part of our community. Our outreach program is a multidisciplinary program of physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, sports psychology, sports dietitians, sports performance specialists and other health professionals. In many cases, we have teams of endurance medicine, performing arts medicine or golf specialists working in the field. By partnering with our team, organizations are able to enhance the availability of quality sports medicine care for their athletes and performers. Our program works locally in the greater Columbus area, across the state of Ohio, nationally and internationally.
We also have educational affiliations that allow students from high schools, colleges and universities to learn from our experienced team. We provide opportunities for mentoring, capstone projects and internships.
Please contact our Outreach Manager, Bob Sweeney, if you would like to explore opportunities with your organization.

Our team brings on-site care, health and wellness education and rehabilitation services to the field, the stage and the court. Ohio State experts are available to our community partners for general first aid, injury evaluation, treatment and management, concussion testing, management and return to play/learn progression, as well as priority specialty or physician referrals.
To encourage overall wellness awareness and action, we share our expertise through a broad range of presentations and events, from Training Your Brain to be Tougher Than Your Feet to Parenting the Young Athlete to Healthy Snacking for Tournament Weekend to ACL Injury Prevention. We work with our partners to determine the topics that are of best interest and highest value to their constituents. Our athletic trainers and physicians also facilitate clinics for coaches that include the required Ohio Pupil Activity Validation (PAV) certification. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is the only medical center in Ohio that offers sports performance training programs to academic institutions too - combining strength training with injury prevention and education.
Both organizations and patients benefit from working with Ohio State Sports Medicine. These videos help explain it from two different perspectives.
