Experience & Interests

As an athletic trainer, Dr Hunt has worked with professional, collegiate, high school and grass roots sports. While working as a high school athletic trainer for four years she obtained first hand experience with concussions and the lack of information available for allied health care professionals working with adolescents.

Dr Hunt is the Director of Research for the OSU Sports Concussion Program, an interdisciplinary group developing novel evaluation, management and concussion research. As a researcher, she focuses on youth concussion assessment and has worked with high schools in several states examining high school recovery patterns, effort on concussion assessments, co-morbidities and possible educational intervention in at-risk populations.

She has served as a volunteer with Team in Training Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the American Red Cross Disaster Team.
