Sports Chiropractor OSU Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation, Downtown Columbus |
Dr. Robin Hunter serves as a sports chiropractor for OSU Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a clinical assistant professor for the OSU College of Medicine.
She has extensive post-doctoral training in sports chiropractic including a sports medicine fellowship at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. She was selected to be a member of the USOC medical team at the 2001 University World Games in Beijing China and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT.
She has served as the company sports chiropractor for BalletMet Columbus since 1986 and has been a part of OSU Sports Medicine, Program for the Performing Arts since its inception in 2005. In 2007, she completed training in dance medicine at NYU Harkness Center for Dance Injuries. She is on faculty at the OSU department of dance.
Dr. Hunter is board certified in clinical acupuncture, and sports injuries and physical fitness. She is on post-graduate faculty with Logan College of Chiropractic and New York Chiropractic College, where she lectures nationally and internationally on a variety of sports chiropractic and dance wellness topics. She served on the executive committee for the American Chiropractic Association Council of Sports Injuries and Physical Fitness from 1986-1996, serving as president from 1995-1996. Dr. Hunter is a contributing author for the textbook, Conservative Management of Sports Injuries.
