Primary Care Sports Medicine |
Dr. Kendra McCamey has been a primary care sports medicine physician with Ohio State since 2004. She is the team physician for Ohio State University women's ice hockey, men's volleyball, swimming and diving, synchronized swimming swimming, crew, pistol and rifle teams. She is also the Medical Director of the annual Pelotonia bicycle event which supports cancer research at OSU's James Cancer Hospital.
A graduate of The Ohio State University, Dr. McCamey worked towards a masters degree in biomedical engineering before attending medical school at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. She completed a residency in family medicine in Sylvania Ohio and sports medicine fellowship at The Henry Ford Health System in Detroit. She joined The OSU Sports Medicine Center staff in 2004.
She is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and holds a Certificate of Additional Qualification in Sports Medicine. Dr. McCamey is a member of The American Academy of Family Practice and The American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
Her clinical interests include injury prevention, women's medicine and sport-related concussion.
