Kathy is a member of the Endurance Medicine Team, Hip Outcome Team, P4 ACL Injury Prevention Team, and Quality Improvement Team at OSU Sports Medicine.
Her clinical interests include endurance athletes at both the recreational and elite levels, injury prevention and sports performance. She studied causative factors underlying ACL tears in females for her undergraduate thesis and now works closely with the ACL injury prevention research team to provide the most updated evidenced-based treatment available.
Kathy provides medical support at local running and multisport events including Pelotonia. She also presents educational lectures about injury prevention, training and rehabilitation of the endurance athlete and the patient with hip labral repair post-operative rehab guidelines. Additionally, she specializes in performing video gait analyses and bike fittings. Kathy is working with other OSU endurance medicine team members to develop a swimming stroke video analysis (coming soon!).
An active runner, Kathy has completed the Boston Marathon twice. She is also is an avid cyclist, completing tours across Ohio, Colorado and California. She was a member of the triathlon teams at both Miami University and the University of Southern California. She has completed three Ironman triathlon events and is scheduled for more!
During her free time, other recreational interests include skiing, swimming and climbing.
