Announcements > OSU Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program Earns Accreditation

July 2006

OSU Sports Medicine Center recently received accreditation of its Sports Physical Therapy Residency program by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). The program is a collaboration among OSU Sports Medicine, the School of Allied Medical Professions and OSU Athletics. With this accreditation, OSUMC is one of only six accredited Sports Physical Therapy residencies in the country and the only program accredited in the Midwest.

To earn accreditation, a residency program must meet specific requirements pertaining to organization, resources, curriculum, and performance measures. The approval process includes an extensive review of application materials and a successful on-site accreditation visit.

As we move ahead, we look forward to expanding and strengthening our program and continue our commitment in providing a renowned educational opportunity to our residents.
