Competitive Advantage

Whether you are an OSU Buckeye or weekend warrior, competitive advantage is what every athlete wants. From specialist physicians and surgeons to physical therapists and athletic trainers, competitive advantage is what OSU Sports Medicine Center delivers. Our physicians serve as the team physicians for the OSU Buckeyes in all 36 varsity sports teams, with over 900 Division I NCAA athletes participating. We also serve as the official sports medicine provider for Columbus Public Schools, Ballet Met, Ohio Premier Girls Soccer Club, and Columbus State Community College. The Sports Medicine team cares for these athletes and the athlete in you.

Our Philosophy

The OSU Sports Medicine Center offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to the prevention and treatment of injuries in athletes and active individuals. Our expectation as a team is to embrace the philosophy of evidenced based care, meaning we practice what we teach. Our pursuit of excellence in research, clinical care, and education is enhanced by our position in a prominent academic medical center which allows the integration of considerable strengths in several surgical and medical specialties. The benefits of this integrated model include advanced clinical care and collaborative research opportunities as well as an excellent teaching environment to foster the professional development of our future sports medicine leaders.
