Our Team > Rehabilitation Staff: Physical Therapists & Athletic Trainers

Physical therapy plays a vital role in recovery from sports injury. Our highly experienced and credentialed staff include Board Certified Sports Physical Therapists and dual-credentialed therapists. All staff members are committed to working with you to help you return to your top level of performance. Our skilled staff of athletic trainers provides event coverage and offers their expertise in support of our clinical programs. Certified athletic trainers are health care professionals who specialize in preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that result from physical activity. As part of a complete health care team, the certified athletic trainer works under the direction of a licensed physician and in cooperation with other health care professionals, athletics administrators, coaches and parents. Most athletic trainers at OSU Sports Medicine have a masters degree and/or additional qualification as a physical therapist or physician’s assistant.
