A team physician for The OSU Buckeyes since 1995, Dr Pongonis works with the football and baseball teams. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine, The OSU College of Medicine.

Dr Pongonis is a graduate of The Ohio State University. He then attended The Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine where he also completed an osteopathic fellowship.

Dr Pongonis is a member of The American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Osteopathic Association and The American Academy of Family Practice.
