OSU Sports Medicine recognizes that excellence in education is crucial to meet the challenges of health care in the 21st century. This awareness enables OSU Sports Medicine to continually develop exemplary programs in all areas of education. OSU Sports Medicine incorporates innovative research, scholarship and the spirit of inquiry into the fabric of all professional and community education programs.

between the surgeon and observers.
OSU Sports Medicine offers a variety of medical education programs, including coaches’ certification workshops, continuing medical education seminars for physicians and other sports medicine professionals, injury prevention programs for athletes and their parents, web-based CME programming and speaking engagements for civic or school groups.
OSU Sports Medicine is dedicated to educating future sports medicine professionals. Medical students, residents and fellows learn at the side of staff physicians both in the clinic and on the sidelines. The recently-developed Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program is the first of its kind in Central Ohio, giving physical therapists the opportunity to work under board certified clinical specialists in sports medicine.
